A lifting solution softens the bonds in your lashes. A setting solution locks them into the new curled-upward shape. The result: your lashes look longer, more open, and more “awake” without mascara or a lash curler.

A lash lift does NOT add extensions or fake lashes. It works with what you have. If your natural lashes are very short or sparse, a lift will make them look better but won’t transform them into the fluttery extension look. For that, you’d want lash extensions instead, which is a different service.

A brow tint is a semi-permanent dye applied to your natural brow hairs to darken them. What Happens at Your First Appointment?

• Brow tint first (about 15 minutes): Your artist cleanses the brow area, applies a protective barrier around the brow, mixes the tint, and applies it. The tint sits for 3 to 8 minutes, then gets wiped clean. You’ll see the result immediately.
• Lash lift next (about 40 to 50 minutes): Your artist cleanses your lashes, places a protective under-eye pad, positions the silicone shield against your eyelid, and rolls your lashes onto it. The lifting solution sits for 8 to 14 minutes. The setting solution sits for another 8 to 14 minutes. A nourishing serum finishes the treatment.
• Final reveal: Your artist removes the shields, brushes your lashes into place, and hands you a mirror.

You’ll keep your eyes closed for most of the lash lift portion. Most clients find it relaxing. Some even doze off.

Does It Hurt?

No. Neither the lash lift nor the brow tint should hurt at all. Your eyes stay closed during the lift, and the solutions sit on your lashes and brow hairs, not directly on your skin. Some clients feel a slight tingling or a faint chemical smell during the lifting solution step. Both are normal and fade quickly.

If you feel actual stinging, burning, or pain at any point, tell your artist immediately. That’s not normal and likely means a solution drifted somewhere it shouldn’t. A skilled artist will pause and address it right away.

How to Prep Before Your Appointment

• Skip mascara and waterproof makeup for 24 hours before. Residue creates a film that blocks the lifting and tinting solutions from working properly.

• Avoid oil-based eye creams the day of. Same reason as the mascara, oils create a barrier.

• Don’t get your lashes wet for 24 hours. No shower water on the face, no swimming, no steam rooms, no saunas. Water can flatten the curl before it locks in.
• Don’t rub your eyes. If you need to dab moisture away, use a soft tissue with no pressure.
• Skip mascara and eye makeup for 24 hours. The chemicals can interfere with the setting process.
• Sleep on your back the first night if you can. Pressing your face into a pillow can flatten one side of the lift.
• Avoid steam, hot yoga, and strenuous workouts for the first 24 hours. Heat and sweat both compromise the curl.
• Don’t use waterproof mascara at all. The remover you’d need to take it off is too harsh for lifted lashes.

After 48 hours, you’re cleared for most normal activity. Just keep being gentle with the area and use oil-free cleansers around your eyes.

How Long Will the Results Last?

A lash lift lasts 6 to 8 weeks. The curl gradually relaxes as your natural lashes shed and new ones grow in straight. A brow tint lasts 4 to 6 weeks, fading gradually as the dye washes out and new hair grows. Who Should NOT Get a Lash Lift or Brow Tint?

The combo is gentle, but it’s not right for everyone. Skip or postpone if you:

• Have an active eye infection, stye, or pink eye
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding (most providers err on the side of caution with chemical exposure near the eyes)
• Have very fragile, damaged, or chemically over-processed lashes (the lifting solution can stress already weak hair)
• Have a known allergy to PPD (paraphenylenediamine, a common ingredient in oxidative tints) or similar dye ingredients
• Recently had eye surgery, including LASIK, within the last 6 months
